Meet The Writer.

"A good story is a good story no matter who wrote it." - Octavia Butler
I didn’t consider myself a creative until I had an original idea. And I didn’t have an original idea—something I felt was unique to me—until I crashed and stumbled my way into it. Writing as a practice has always gnawed at me, but public school teachers who boxed and mocked my creativity, as well as conditioning to play it safe with my career, kept me from exploring my talents.
Even when I began to practice divination through tarot, I would pull out a notebook or my laptop to test my skills and desperately try to give birth to ideas in my head, only to shamefully give up on them and let my swinging moods dictate my interests. I desperately wanted to channel my internal Aquarius nature into something unique and different but couldn’t give birth to my creativity when I made a traditional approach.
It wasn’t until I decided to finally have fun and let myself write what I wanted, how I wanted, without care for who was going to criticize, that I allowed my love for spirituality and my professional practice of tarot to unite with writing to do something out of the box. I posted my first short story tarot reading—an 18+ future spouse story—on Tumblr and received the support and awe I needed to feel like I could be a writer in my own right.
